Update 2_Urgent Appeal for victims of typhoon Ompong 9.25.2018

On September 14-15, super typhoon Mangkhut devastated numerous communities on Northern Luzon Island in the Philippines. As of 6PM of September 24, the death toll in the region reached 103 as several bodies were retrieved from the Itogon landslide. 35 people remain missing in Baguio City and Itogon, Benguet. Dozens of landslides and road closures have left communities isolated, and massive flooding continues to present threats to public health. Many communities are still digging out from the destructive landslides, and dozens of people are still missing. Please see the update from Serve the People Brigade of the Cordillera Disaster Response Network (CDRN). Please see update from CDRN: Update 2_Urgent Appeal for victims of typhoon Ompong 9.25.2018

We urgently request any contributions you are able to make to support these communities in their hour of greatest need. Your contributions will go towards food and water, basic hygiene supplies, medicine, and clothing. Funds will also be used to finance relief missions, repair and re-construction of damaged homes, and repair and re-construction of damaged livelihoods (i.e, farmlands). Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference.
