Under the advise of Alliance of Health Workers-Philippines, we are postponing the medical mission to the Philippines to
August 21-29, 2019 .
Last September 2018, we had a very successful medical mission in Samar Philippines and we were able to serve over a thousand patients in the municipalities of Pinabacdao and Calbiga, Western Samar. For 2019, instead of February 26 – March 6, we have tentatively scheduled the medical mission Below is the tentative itinerary:
Wednesday Day 1- Departure from NY or Major US City
Thursday Day 2 – Arrive Manila, Philippines
Friday Day 3 – Orientation and walk-through in a local hospital with the Alliance of Health Workers (AHW). Evening: Travel to Dumaguete City, Negros Island, final orientation with NIHIP & organize pharmacy.
Saturday Day 4 – 1st Day of Medical Mission.
Sunday Day 5 – 2nd Day of Medical Mission.
Monday Day 6 – 3rd Day of Medical Mission.
Tuesday Day 7- Debriefing and rest and recreation
Wednesday Day 8 – Fly back to Manila, shopping for souvenirs.
Thursday Day 9- Fly back to U.S. city of origin
Note: The itinerary above is subject to change by mission organizers and local hosts to make sure that the safety and security of volunteers are protected.
The cost for each participant:
Last day to register is on Sunday, March 31, 2019. To reserve your spot, please send a donation of $300.00 that will go toward your whole trip. The full amount is due on Friday, April 36, 2019. Please follow the following steps to register:
1. Submit your registration form to Rony.Curvelo@nysna.org, cc firstname.lastname@example.org and MCP@nysna.org.
2. Donate $300.00 via Venmo to @RNsUnite and write in memo line: “2019 Philippine Mission”;
3. Get a written approval of time-off that covers medical mission days from your supervisor. You may request longer vacation if you want.
